Messina Group seeks a contract-to-hire QC Technician for an opportunity with our client in Elgin, IL to:
- Ensure that products are produced, stored, shipped, and maintained in accordance with standards
- Initiate discussions and recommended actions in an effort to continuously improve product quality
- Execute all functions in a manner consistent with the company mission, goals, and philosophy
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Quality Director
- Collect and ship samples to customers as needed
- Perform numerous tests on film upon request
- File completed production orders and color standards
- Responsible for the filing of retained sample boxes and extrusion boxes
- Maintain calibration of equipment and tools used by employees
- Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean lab
- Random spot-check all departments and procedures
- In charge of obtaining stub rolls for printed items and making color standards
- Check incoming films and laminations
- Perform all job functions in accordance with the requirement of the organization’s safety policies, FSSC22000, ISO 22000, prerequisite programs, and following all related procedures and work instructions
- Assist other departments as requested or assigned
- Keep lab work area clean
