LabTemps is seeking a Senior Analytical Scientist – Battery Metrology for an exciting direct permanent hire opportunity with our client in central Washington State. Under the direction of the Senior Technology Director, the Senior Analytical Scientist will work independently, with other team members and other departments to accomplish the goals of the Battery Metrology Department. The Senior Analytical Scientist – Battery Metrology may direct projects and resources allocated to the projects to achieve agreed-upon goals.  Projects typically involve metrology development for new products including but not limited to: development of new analytical capabilities; troubleshoot and continuously improve existing analytical methods; execute analysis to support new product development; and provide analytical data and analysis to support resolution of customer escalations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

  • Follow safety procedures and regulations.
  • Influence/direct customer research areas and business that would be favorable for the company within the group/department/department's expertise (e.g., plating).
  • Ownership of multiple technical projects.
  • Define/formulate project goals based on external/customer requests and/or general R&D direction for future areas of business.
  • Complete projects and provide a project final report/presentation for internal/external customers.
  • for the development of new products and applications using well-established good lab practices.
  • Other duties as assigned.
